About Our Clinic

The Laurentian Walk-In Clinic operates as a walk-in clinic in Kitchener, ON

We are the only walk-in clinic in the Waterloo region with Registered Nurses and full Electronic Medical Records.

The Laurentian Walk-In Clinic is committed to providing high quality, medical care in a clean and friendly environment with added convenience. We operate as a Walk-In medical clinic. Our clinic is a place where patients will be treated by a qualified health care team. We understand our patients’ needs and treat all with care and respect.

We do not take appointments for regular visits and we do not register patients in a family practice.

Due to the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic we are altering our usual procedures of what types of care we will be able to provide at Laurentian Walk-in Clinic.

When you call, you will be asked screening questions for COVID-19 virus infection.

The measures taken will provide the most protection for patients, the public at large and the staff.  We appreciate your understanding in these difficult times.

Laurentian Walk-in Clinic now offers appointments for the following types of services:

  1. Wart treatments (foot warts and genital warts are covered by OHIP)
  2. Ministry of Transportation Physicals ($)
  3. Pre-employment Physicals ($)
  4. Pre-education Physicals ($)

$= not covered by OHIP- please check the link for the clinic schedule of fees to see what the cost of the service will be. Fees must be paid at the time of service and payment is to be made via cash or debit; credit cards and thrid party insurance are not accepted.

*X-Ray is not on site, but clinic physicians can send patients to a facility that allows them to view the x-rays and get an official report by the end of the day.

*Lab Testing is not on site, but the clinic physician can order testing to be done at an outside facility.


Wait Times

  • We can estimate wait times over the phone.
  • Wait times on weekdays are longest in the first two hours of the morning and the last hour of the day.
  • Wait times are generally less in the late morning and early afternoon.
  • We reserve the right to limit registration at the end of the day due to high patient volume.

Strictly a Walk-In Medical Clinic

  • We are strictly a walk-in clinic and do not take appointments for regular visits or register patients in a family practice.

Valid Health Card

  • A valid Canadian Health Card is required for all visits.
  • If you do not have a valid Health Card at the time of your visit, you have the option to pay a $60.00 hold payment fee that will be refunded within 6 months if you provide evidence that you had valid health coverage at the time of your visit.
