Mental health is about emotional control. Emotional control optimizes our mental health to gain control over our feelings. Imagine if you could learn techniques to increase your enjoyment with the people, time and experience for the remainder of your life.  Understanding your emotions and controlling your physiological responses gives you the power to change the value, appreciation and love we have for ourselves, our experience, and those around us.

Dr. Zain Bheriani and others are ready to join you in a journey of learning and understanding yourself to maximize your emotional control. It’s called Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy or CBT. CBT teaches you about yourself and how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours influence each other. Dialectical behaviour therapy or DBT focuses on the social aspects of emotion. CBT and DBT techniques are aimed at reaching acceptance, developing self-awareness and building distress tolerance through exploration of your emotions and behaviors.

These research validated life skills are aimed at reducing anger, anxiety, panic, depression, addiction, phobias, impulse, insomnia, and improving general mood stability long term.

Our team is now providing Family Physician mental health CBT/DBT sessions as part of our multidisciplinary approach to your therapeutic options. Working together to improve your quality of life by enhancing your function both physically and mentally during both good and troubling times.

Find out more by booking a phone consult with Healing Home and our community mental health family physician. Connect with us and schedule a session to explore how these skills can serve you for a lifetime. Gain skills to support yourself, love yourself and interact better with others . Fully embrace the person you are and provide yourself what you have always needed. A better you.
